Who Dat Nation!!!

OMG! Who would have thought the Saints would have whipped the Colts' butt in the Super Bowl!! As "Levi" would say, "the Saints have gone from Bags to Riches..."

Being a southern girl, this was something I could not have even dreamed of happening...the Saints making it to the Big Game...uh, no, the Saints WINNING the Big Game! "They did that!!!"
What a befitting outcome...maybe this is the spark the city of New Orleans need to reignite the rebuilding process.

We visited the Big Easy not too long ago and there are many areas that look like Hurricane Katrina JUST hit...and how long has it been now? Close to five years...what's happening? What's taking so long?

Most of the downtown/tourist areas seem to be flourishing, but what about the areas where PEOPLE, regular people live? The areas of New Orleans East? The Ninth Ward?

This holds true for the entire Mississippi Gulf Coast areas as well...I wonder how long it will take to rebuild this region?

I'm celebrating this milestone for the city of New Orleans, but inside I am praying for even a better ending...a rebuilding synergy that will motivate an entire REGION of people to bounce back in a Super kind of way.

Let There Be SNOW!

WOW!!! It's snowing and it is so beautiful! The flakes are dancing all about, soft distinctive flakes of white stuff fighting to make a claim some place here.

And this is suppose to continue for most of the evening and throughout the night? It will be a blanket of the plush white stuff all over our area if that happens...Do I smell a snow day coming? I'm excited about the possibility.

Burrrrr!!!

Wow, can we say cold???? Jeez, it's freezing out. Usually, I am one for the brisk stuff, but this is really cold. Nonetheless, it is winter and I must admit I do still love it.

I am mentally getting ready for the snow day I plan to take on this Friday...with the predication of snow on Thursday with some possible accumulation, I really don't plan on taking a chance to travel in to Paradise (the J-O-B). That leaves the option of having a sick day and/or a work from home (WFH) day...Who wants to WFH on a cozy snowy day?

Changing gears here...Just have to say that we went to see Avatar and loved it! This long film kept my attention and the cinematography was great.

My So Called Life

Wow, I am excited to actually start a blog...I am NOT the FB and/or MySpace type, so this new attempt to get involved with the world of cyberspace is new and exciting to me. Not that I have all that to chat and/or talk about, but it is still kind of fun...it's one of my things to do for 2010.

The "bright idea" actually transpired over a cup of java with my significant other, let's just call him "Levi". He is such a computer geek, FB, MySpace, Twitter, and every other cyber social thingy has his attention, so when we were discussing the idea of blogging I too got inspired to do a little research and actually set this up.

I am sure I will have LOTS to blog about, after all communication, in all forms, really does come easy for me, and writing is a passion...until the next time.
